Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Quick Update...Katsucon..Matsuri..etc

Hello My Lovelies,

Work load right now is a bit overwhelming so as usual dA gets pushed to the bottom of my to do list. I am getting ready for Katsucon, only taking a few cosplays just one armor as traveling by airplane with armors and big props always gives me ulcers. Go to our facebook, GS Props, we will be posting up what I remember to on there.

Anime Matsuri March 29-31, 2013

Super excited about it, want it to be here already but at the same time so much work to do. Preparations for all three cosplay contests are coming around pretty well, I really can't decide which one I will be looking forward to the most. For those not familiar we will be hosting Marvel Entertainment's The World's Mightiest Cosplayers contest on Friday, our own Anime Matsuri Cosplay contest on Saturday, and World Cosplay Summit southern regional Qualifying Round followed by the Final round on Sunday. People attending the con includes Kelly Hu, Matt Mercer, Marisha Ray, Johnny Yong Bosch, Judith Stephens, Bill Winans of Angry Dog Studios, ~Rynnnn, *yayacosplay, *gstqfashions, Staff of WCS along with many past US teams, so many more I cannot think of all just now, and of course I signed up

for some panels as well hehe

. With so much going on at Matsuri we will probably not be wearing the Hunters and leaving them for Akon.

Ok time to get back to work, I already have photoshoots scheduled for Katsucon but have not finished the cosplay...its a LoL character, be sure to check out our FB page to see who it is.
